Tae Kwon Do for All of Us
Tae Kwon Do for All of Us
Tae Kwon Do means “the way of the hand and foot”. Instruction in martial arts teaches basic self-defense and will include blocking, punching and kicking techniques from beginner levels through advanced ranks. West County TaeKwonDo teaches the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) form of TKD.
We teach patience, self-respect and respect for others. We build discipline, self-control, loyalty, honesty, humility, confidence and courtesy.
It does not take a special person to start TKD but it does take a special person to stick with it. We try to make the classes interesting, educational, fun while increasing each student’s level of fitness over time.
We embrace the mental and emotional elements of martial arts as well as the physical.
We encourage students to apply the same concepts to other aspects of their life.
